In Home Pet Euthanasia
in Dallas
Choosing in-home euthanasia is a loving way to say goodbye. Your pet can rest peacefully at home, surrounded by familiar comforts and the people who love them most.
What to Expect
-
We’ll greet you, review a consent form, spend a quiet moment with your pet, and answer any questions you may have.
-
The vet gives a sedative/pain-relief injection, so your pet becomes very relaxed and sleepy. This step is crucial to ensure there is no anxiety or discomfort.
-
Once your pet is fully unconscious, the vet administers the final medication where breathing and heart function gently stops.
-
Our veterinarian will confirm the passing of your pet and allow you the time you need to say goodbye in private.
When you’re ready, we’ll care for your pet with dignity and follow the aftercare option you’ve chosen:
-
Communal Cremation (ashes not returned)
-
Private Cremation (ashes returned)
Please be aware that the after-care arrangements will be handled by the family when choosing 'In Home Pet Euthanasia' only.
The families after-care options are the following:
-
Burial on your property
-
Pet Cemetery
-
Crematorium of your choice
For burials:
A four to six feet deep hallow is optimal along with Quick lime placed at the bottom. Cremation before a burial may help bring added peace of mind and prevent disturbance by wildlife.
You have options when it comes to caskets, you might choose to purchase one online or create something meaningful yourself. Some people find comfort using a small box for small pets, or a sturdy plastic storage container for larger companions. Allow yourself to choose what feels right as you honor your pet’s memory.
Thank you for trusting us to care for your beloved companion and be there for your family during such a meaningful goodbye.
